Gnarly conditions and bitterly cold temps which started in the upper 20s and got into the mid 30s at best made for exciting sailing with reefed mainsails on MITs colorful fleet of 420s. Roger Williams made the best of the big breeze and sailed to a record of 14-2 while going 2-1 in today's round of Top 4 teams. Harvard's women sailors were incredibly versatile while the wind gusted into the mid 30 knot range and closed out the weekend with a record of 13-4 over MIT's women and Boston College. The bottom 4 teams were led by URI in fifth overall at 6-11.
Many thanks to the coaches who acted as umpires and were on hand to assist if anyone wanted to go for the plunge into the 37 degree Charles River.
