It was a beautiful day on Lake Mendota. Sailors were met with heavy winds and warm temperatures. Six races we completed in each division. A and B division sailed 420's while C division sailed techs. One redress request was heard and granted. At the end of day one Wisco 1 leads the regatta. A huge thank you to our Race Committee which consisted of Alumni Whitney Kent('16), Ian Walter('16), and Caya McFalls('16). They did a terrific job managing all three fleets. Tomorrow looks to be another gorgeous day on the water with good breeze and even warmer temperatures.
The second day of racing started out cloudy, but sailors were met with sunshine around 11 and winds from 10-15 mph. Four races were completed in each division. A and B division sailed 420's while C division sailed techs. A huge thank you to our Race Committee which consisted of Alumni Whitney Kent('16), Ian Walter('16), and Caya McFalls('16). They did a terrific job managing all three fleets. At the end of the regatta, Wisco 1 won with 65 points, Minnesota got second with 121 points, and Wisco 2 got third with 126 points. Overall, it was a great weekend of racing with nice breeze and beautiful weather.
