NWICSA Team Race Championships

Vangs were broken, hands were trapped in centerboard trunks, geese were battled, and tacos were eaten. Nonetheless, thanks to the efficiency and cooperation of the race committee, umpires, and competing teams, the regatta concluded today. Racing was postponed for two hours in the morning while a storm cell passed through. Three round robins were completed in a shifting, gusty southerly ranging from 5 to 15 kts. After a brief recess, during which the wind shifted to the west and receded to a gentler 3-5 kts, the best of three final rounds were sailed.

No bailers were lost in the making of this regatta.
