Ten races were completed in each division in 3-12 knots with wind mostly from the East. One protest was heard that was disallowed, and there were no breakdowns or requests for redress. Another 0900 report tomorrow to knock out the final eight races per division.
The forecast for day two of the 2019 Truxtun Umsted Coed Showcase Round 1 never really came to fruition in the Annapolis Harbor. Instead of the predicted 18-20 due Southerly, we had 8-14 from the Southwest. The breeze was good enough to casually get in 8 races per division with a lunch break. One protest was filed and heard resulting in a DSQ. Everyone left the venue by 1500. Congratulations to the top 9 teams who qualify for the 2019 Fiske Harriman Sleigh at Connecticut College in two weekends, and congrats to the Navy Midshipmen for the home win!
