The John Quinn

Summary

Saturday, September 14:

It was a great day for sailing at the John Quinn Regatta on the Shrewsbury River. We started racing in the morning with 10-12 gusting to 15 from the south all day. It was up to 18 by noon, then began easing around 3 and was down to 8-10 by the last race of the day. We were able to complete 8 races for both A and B. There were no protests. MON had a breakdown in race 2A.

Sunday, September 15:

Day Two started out of the north less than 3 knots of breeze. It was 4-8 for the first race and 4-6 for the second. The breeze completely shut off so B fleet stayed ashore until 1130 when the breeze came back. It was 4-6 for 2 B races. A gentle sea breeze filled in out of the east at 5-8 for the rest of the day allowing us one more A and B set for a complete regatta. Congratulations to our top 3 Princeton University, Washington College and and SUNY Stonybrook.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
