64th Jan Friis Team Race

Sailors arrived to Coast Guard to beautiful conditions. The wind was from the southwest between 6-14 kts throughout the day. A round robin of all ten teams was completed before a bottm 4 round was sailed. One breakdown required a resail and a black flag hearing will occur on Sunday Morning. Sunday will bring a tiebreak sailloff for 7 and 8 place before going into a knockout series of the top 8 teams. Thank you to our crew of umpires and RC.

The Friis Trophy concluded Sunday with a Top 8 Team Knockout. After a resail and a sailoff to determine 7th and 8th seeds the quarterfinals began.

Quarterfinal 1 v 8: BC beat Tufts 2-1

Quarterfinal 2 v 7: Harvard beat Brown 2-0

Quarterfinal 3 v 6: Stanford beat URI 2-0

Quarterfinal 4 v 5: Roger Williams beat CGA 2-0

Semifinal 1: RWU beat BC 2-1

Semifinal 2: Stanford beat Harvard 2-0

Finals: RWU beat Stanford 2-1

Petitfinals: Harvard beat BC 2-1
