Rainier Cup JV

Summary

Saturday, April 15:

Saturday morning had sunshine but no wind, so races were postponed on shore to start. Around 12:20, wind started to fill in from the west and we were able to start our first race in 5knts W just before 13:00. Westerly continued to pick up throughout the day, requiring a course shift in the afternoon. Races continued with the last race finishing at 18:00 in around 10knts W.

Sunday, April 16:

The day started with rain and an onshore postponed. AP was dropped at 11:50 and the first race commenced soon thereafter in a building 10 knot westerly. The breeze built into the mid-teens and clocked far right where it stayed for the rest of the day, with some minor oscillations. Each passing squall brought big puffs and lulls with it. The racing was very dynamic with many passing lanes for those who paid attention to the changing conditions. Congrats to UW for winning! Thank you all of our alumni who volunteered to helped run races and to CGRA for hosting.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
