America Trophy

Saturday, April 29:

It was a waiting game for the breeze to fill in and stabilize enough to get races in. 7 in each division were completed by sunset. One redress was heard and granted. Two protests were heard. One was disallowed. One resulted in a DSQ in race 7A.

Sunday, April 30:

Good breeze from the SE filled in this morning. 8-12 knots SE. A very shifty direction for ODU, RC tried to set in the middle of the shift and conduct races. 5 races in each division were completed before weather forced the fleet from the water. It was decided that the storm was going to continue past the cutoff time, and so racing was suspended. Congrats to the SMC Seahawks on winning the America Trophy. SMC and NYM both earn AQ berths to Fleet Race Nationals at Kings Point this year. All MAISA awards were presented after racing and a big congrats to all those who were honored. Thank you to our judges, Jerry Thompson and Brendan Wilkins.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
