2023 Florida Trophy

Summary

Saturday, March 25:

The 11 teams from throughout SAISA South were greeted by a beautiful day for sailing in Jacksonville for 2023 Florida Trophy. The day started with slack tide and a 8-10kts out of the South. It was Champagne conditions first 2 sets for A and B division. By the 3rd set the flood tide started to build giving the fleet short down-wind legs on the current conveyor belt allowed for leaders to extend quickly off good starts and strategic 1st beats.

For the final B set the breeze increased at times into the high teens and a large shift west kept the race committee busy.

Congratulations to home team for taking the top 2 spots with Rollins College rounding out the podium. A big thank you goes out to all the competitors for keeping the racing safe, clean, and fun. Thank you to all the supporters and JU team members that helped make this event possible.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
