All the wind seemed to be used up on Saturday when competitors arrived this morning. Racing was postponed until noon when the sun started to break through the cloud cover. The conditions improved, but only 4 races were completed in a light, 5-7 kt southerly and an incoming tide out in the Potomac River. Only two red flags was given by umpires, but many voluntary turns were taken by competitors under the new Appendix J - Fleet Race Umpiring.
A big thank you to AJ Reiter ('17), Hannah Hess ('19), and Gwynie Dunlevy ('20) for running Race Committee today; the Umpire Team of Bill Simon, Nelson Pemberton, and Darryl Waskow for volunteering their day; GW and GTN sailors Soenke Jordan ('21), Andrew Person ('21), and JP Panarella ('22) for acting as Observers with the Umpire Team; and the George Washington University for lending their motorboats.
Congratulations to George Washington's Samuel Mandell ('19) and John Umina ('22) for winning the Arrigan Memorial Regatta (Sun)!

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
