A perfect day for the Ryan Richards Tufts Alumni Regatta. Wind began SW 3-8 and was a bit shifty but persisted left to a steady South 8-13, "dam breeze," right up the valley. At times the wind was steady 12 with one inch waves. Six races in each division were held from 11:15 to 4:45. "A" division was for the classes of '76 to '04 and "B" division was for the classes of '08 to '15. A number of undergrad crews filled in.
In "A" Matt Cohen/Ariel Fromer Babcock broke a tie with Pete and Caroline Levesque with double bullets in the last set to win. Will Haeger/Paula Grasberger dominated "B" with double bullets twice. Sam Altreuter'76 racing in many consecutive alumni regattas was Tufts first college sailor-of-the-year.
Brand new Whitecap Turbo Larks were the star of the show and the Bacow Sailing Pavilion provided space for all including a line of spectators on the 70' third floor observation deck.
At the awards Gifford Tubbs'80 spoke eloquently about former sailing master Joe Duplin.
Many thanks to co-chairs Lucy Robison and Aaron Klein and to the many undergrads that helped with race management, scoring, rigging, cooking, etc.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
