Summary

Saturday, April 14:

The day began with wind exceeding 20 knots, and races began around 10:30. The wind picked up throughout the day to 25 knots with gusts over 30 knots with rain showers throughout the day. Despite the challenging conditions, 6 races in each division were completed.

Sunday, April 15:

Racing on Sunday began with race 7A with wind out of the south averaging 15 knots. The race was abandoned as teams began rounding the windward mark on the first upwind leg, and racing was postponed to allow a thunderstorm from the west to pass over. After 45 minutes and a 180 degree wind shift, race committee was able to get off 4 races in each division. Many thanks to Vic Manning, Steve Gay, and Barry Bowden for helping with race committee!

Congratulation to Texas A&M Galveston for their win! They will advance to Semi-Finals along with Texas A&M, University of Texas, and Tulane University.
