NEISA Open Singlehanded Championship

Summary

Saturday, September 19:

Twelve races completed in a variety of conditions on Dorchester Bay. Four races sailed on Friday afternoon in an extremely shifty NNW'ly in the 10-12+ range. Today saw easterly wind, peaking at a bit more than 10 knots, with two light air races to conclude the event.

Thanks to college sailing's partner Zim Sailing for providing charter support for this BYO boat event and for stepping up with additional equipment support and on-site technical support.

Many thanks to all who helped with the event including the Connecticut College, Harvard, and MIT teams who all loaned powerboats; the members at Savin Hill YC who loaned powerboats and were gracious hosts as always; BC undergrads on RC both days; our judges Brad Dellenbaugh, Moose McClintock, and Mike Campbell; and finally to BC alumns Alden and Hannah Reid who ran a great regatta in challenging conditions.

Congratulations to James Pine from Brown, the 2026 NEISA Open Singlehanded Champion.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
