Washington College Fall Open

Summary

Saturday, October 15:

Racing began under ideal conditions with a good wind from the South-West. The breeze built up and provided some spectacular racing on the Chester. With the wind iffy tomorrow, racing continued until race 8A with the decision being made to not send B Division out again. Two breakdowns were granted and one protest thrown out. Racing resumes tomorrow morning with Race 7B and a 0900 report time.

Sunday, October 16:

Light and variable conditions met sailors this morning but gave way to a light breeze from the north. Sailors completed the B division set from yesterday and got an A division set and half the next B division set before the wind shut off for good. One protest was upheld and racing concluded at 1300. Congratulations to Navy for their strong regatta showing. Thank you to the WAC sailors helping on the docks, DR. Z in the mark boat, and former Asst. Coach Evan for running RC.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
