Sugar Bowl Women's

Summary

Saturday, September 24:

The day started off with a light but steady 4-7 knot NE breeze. 4 races were sailed before a short lunch break.

Upon returning to the race area, the breeze died off as it slowly went to the north. After an on-the-water postponement an attempt was made to get racing off but to no avail, and the decision was made to send everyone in for the day.

Sunday, September 25:

Much like yesterday racing began shortly after 10:00am in a 4-6 knot Northerly with very flat water. As the day heated up the breeze gradually clocked to the NE and began to taper. After 8 total races we attempted to get in more but the breeze died below the wind limit and never built back up. Congrats to the Tulane Women team on their victory for the 2022 Sugar Bowl Women’s Regatta. Additionally congrats to Ciara Rodriguez-Horan on winning the Rees Trophy as the outstanding female competitor for the event. A big thank you to the Allstate Sugar Bowl Committee, the Southern Yacht Club, Community Sailing New Orleans, and the Tulane Sailing team for putting together a successful event.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
