Sailors competing in the inaugural SAISA South Top 6 Invite were greeted with light easterly winds In the morning with a threat of afternoon thunderstorms.
Racing began at 10:15 and 6 races were completed in combined divisions before sending the fleet in for lunch. After waiting out a passing storm, the fleet was back on the water at 2:30 and 4 more races were completed before calling it a day. The winds shifted from easterly to northeasterly late in the day with speeds ranging between 4-7 knots. All races were W4’s with offset and gate. One protest was filed resulting in a DSQ.
