Glen S. Foster Trophy

Summary

Saturday, November 5:

Boats launched at ODU for the 2022 Women's Singlehanded Championship in 5-8 knots from the SE. The courses were run with the windward marks just off of Lamberts Point Golf Course and the leeward marks down by the Red 2 channel marker. Breeze steadily built into 14-16 from the ESE. Race committee did a great job of moving marks to get the course square as the wind shifted. 9 races were completed in total. There were 4 requests for redress/breakdown and one protest. All were disallowed. Racing will begin at 1000 Sunday.

Sunday, November 6:

Breeze filled slowly as sailors started to rig for Day 2 of the 2022 Championships. It eventually came in at 8-10 from the SE and racing commenced promptly at 1000. No significant wind shifts or adjustments of the course. 2 redress cases were reopened. One was denied and one was withdrawn. Thanks to PRO Michael Collins, all of our Judges on the water and the RC staff. Congrats to the champions.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
