Luce Trophy

Summary

Saturday, October 22:

After showing up to a glassy Chester River, we waited until noon when a slight southerly filled in. We launched the boats and set a course only for it to die again before we could get a race going. Racing was called for the day a bit after 2:30.

Sunday, October 23:

Sailors were greeted Sunday morning to a light and building Northerly. Racing was able to get underway promptly at 9:30 and we were able to get seven races completed in each division. Congrats to Christopher Newport for winning the 2022 Luce Trophy and to the top six for qualifying for the War Memorial.

Big thanks to the Washington College sailors for running efficient races.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
