Women's Showcase Tournament

Summary

Saturday, October 12:

An epic high tide greeted sailors and for a while it looked like the water would not stop filling Horseshoe Bend. Apparently, Melissa off the eastern seaboard caused historic tides. Beautiful day with very little wind from the South. . . Sara Morgan Watters did a beautiful job squeezing in 5 races with help from the Seahawks. Rob Rowlands was on the water all day with the power of a yellow flag to keep Rule 42 in check. One protest was heard with one DSQ.

Sunday, October 13:

Tricky sailing in light North/Northeast breezes of 3-8 knots. PRO Sara Morgan Watters '10 with help from 2019 Grad Ellie Ungar in the pin boat did a fantastic job completing another 5 races. One B division race had to be abandoned. Rob Rowlands was a wonderful judge. Congratulations to the Polar Bears for winning the Showcase B-final.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
