Sailors arrived at Port Jefferson YC to a moderate northerly breeze. With 3 teams, we ran a combined fleet and raced 4 races before taking a lunch break. After lunch, we were able to complete 4 more races. A 9th race was started but was abandoned after it was clear that the breeze was done for the day. With 8 solid races and a not so stellar Sunday wind forecast, we decided to end the regatta on Saturday. Thank you to Columbia and Army for attending and congratulations to Columbia on the win! Thank you to Port Jeff YC for use of their facilities and thank you to the SBU team members that helped run the races. Hopefully we can get a few more teams out next year.
