Sister Esther Open

Saturday, September 28:

Another great day on Narragansett Bay with a southerly cranking 12 to 18!

Sunday, September 29:

Thanks to everyone who came out to sail in the 8th Annual Sister Esther Open! This year’s regatta is extra meaningful to us as it is the first year we have held it without our beloved Sister Esther. Sister Esther passed away in November but was with us in spirit this weekend and we know she is with us every day we are out on the water. Breeze was mostly up for the majority of the event but settled in for the last few races and the weather was spectacular both days. Thanks to coaches from Roger Williams, Coast Guard Academy, and UVM for hearing protests. 1 protest was disallowed and the other 2 resulted in DSQs. Another thanks goes to Shannon and Jen Killian (‘16 and ‘19) for helping out on shore and on the water. Congrats to Yale for winning the event! Thanks for coming out, we hope to see you back next year!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
