Coed Showcase Qualifier B

Summary

Saturday, October 5:

Today was the first day that felt like fall on the St. Mary's River. It did not stop the excitement of Hawktoberfest on campus and at the Teddy Turner Waterfront and James P. Muldoon River Center! The Great Bamboo Boat Race with hundreds of spectators lined the shoreline as Fletcher Sims '14 did a beautiful job as PRO in a very shifty Northeasterly of 5-10 knots to complete 10 races in each division. A division sailed in 420's and B in FJ's. Courses were W-4's and W-5's. There was one protest which was disallowed and no BKD's. Big thanks to Guy Barbato and Marissa Golison for serving as judges.

Sunday, October 6:

Wind out of the South - Southeast starting at 10 - 12 knots and increased to 14-16 before dropping back down to 10. Courses were a mix of W-3's, 4's and 5's. A tight battle at the top ending in a tie between BU and Harvard which the Terriers took. The top 9 teams advance to Connecticut College in 420's and FJ's while the bottom 9 will head to Salve Regina in FJ's and Larks.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
