War Memorial

Summary

Saturday, October 27:

It was a good first day of racing at the 2018 War Memorial. The wind started out from the NE at 10-20 knots and a course was set in the mouth of the Severn River. The wind was shifty and gradually shifted left throughout the morning. We had a short lunch break after 4 races per division and the course was re-set right off the Robert Crown Center in a NW wind of 12-20 for the afternoon. We ran 6 more races in the afternoon. One protest was heard resulting in a DSQ.

Sunday, October 28:

Day two of the 2018 War Memorial turned out to be a beautiful sunny affair. Eight races were sailed in a 8-14 knot westerly. A big thank you to PRO Steve Podlich for running eighteen excellent races. No protests were filed. Congratulations to the Hobart and William Smith Statesmen/Herons for winning the 2018 War Memorial!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
