Riley Cup

Summary

Saturday, September 8:

After an on shore postponement until 12pm, 3 A division and 2 B division races were completed before 4pm, when a squall came through the Elizabeth River. All courses were W4s and the wind ranged from 3-8 knots from the North.

After the rain subsided, ODU Alumni and sailors gathered to celebrate the life of the late Riley Johnson, one of the teams biggest supporters and Riley Cup's namesake.

Sunday, September 9:

3 A division and 4 B division races were sailed in a light 4-8 knot Easterly/Northerly wind direction. Races were W4s and W3s. Monarch sailors worked hard to keep a square course in the offshore breeze. One protest was heard resulting in a DSQ. Thank you to Adam Werblow and Zach Runci for hearing the protest.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
