MCSA Sloop Championship

Summary

Saturday, September 15:

The Race Committee postponed until 10:30 when the wind came in from the NE at 4.6 to 7 knots which was enough to make headway against the current in the Detroit River. Race 1 was twice around a windward leeward course with a start in the middle of the course. Three of the boats did not make the 1 hour time limit and were scored DNF. The wind increased a little for the second race which the RC shortened to once around. After a lunch break, the third race was sailed in decreasing wind once around the course. The wind decreased enough that the Race Committee decided to cancel racing for the rest of the day just be fore four o'clock.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
