HWS Fall Intersectional

Summary

Saturday, October 8:

Sailors arrived to beautiful conditions on Lake Seneca. A high of 80 and more wind than was predicted allowed for 4A and 4B races to be held in south winds from 4 to 14 knots. All races were W4s with leeward gates. Racing was done for the day at 2:45 when the wind died. Teams waited till 4 pm but the wind did not fill in. Thanks to all the HWS Sailors who helped run the races today. Also thank you to Ward Cromwell, Brian Clancy, and Russ O'Reilly for hearing two protested which resulted in one DSQ.

Sunday, October 9:

Sailors were again treated to beautiful conditions on Seneca Lake. 4a and 4b races were sailed in a south breeze from 4 to 12 knots. All courses were w4's with leeward gates. Racing ended for the day at 1:30pm when the breeze died. Sailors waited on the water until 2:15 when it became clear the wind was gone for good. Thanks to the HWS Sailors who helped run the event and Congratulations to SUNY Maritime for the Win.
