Racing began promptly at 1050 as started in SIs. We had light to medium (5-8kts) of wind from NNE to NE to ESE in the afternoon. We sailed 8 A division races, 6 B division race were also sailed. Conditions were sunny and cool, many wind shift and subsequent mark moves.
Sunday wrapped up the Great Herring Pond open with a stiff 16-20kts wind from the SSW to the WSW direction. The winds brought multiple capsizes and minor breakdowns. There were also some issues with crew substitutions leading to multiple DSQs to multiple teams. Some teams also had retire on account of the strong winds! We ran 5 B division races and 3 A division races. After penalties were applied the Home team Mass MAritine Bucs took first place!!
