It was an ideal early spring day for Thames River enthusiasts. A classic Vietor day, with perhaps a bit more sun than in years past. A nice 8-15 knot northerly greeted the sailors when racing began around 11:15AM. As the day progressed, directions ranged between NW-NNW-N and it got a lot puffier with breeze between 5-15 knots. There were lots of capsizes on the downwinds. Unfortunately, there were a few small breakdowns that had to be tended to throughout the day. Thank you to our neighbors,CGA, for lending a 420 rudder. 8 races were completed in both divisions, with B division on the dock by 5pm. Courses were all W4s. Many thanks to Walter Henry (Fordham coach, Conn alum!, former ICSA Sportsman of the Year finalist) for serving as ICSA rep! Walter and Maine Maritime coach heard one protest which was disallowed. Racing resumes tomorrow at 10am.
The Thames delivered! A beautiful, sunny of day of sailing. SW at 5-8 knots that built to 10-15 by early afternoon. The last B division race concluded around 2:15pm. 6 races were completed in each division. Less capsizes and breakdowns meant more efficient racing. Thanks to the Camel undergrads for their help on land and water to ensure smooth rotations and fair racing. One protest was heard by Emma Janson (UVM) and Matt Caplan (Tufts) which was disallowed. Special shoutout to Jake Demos'27 for a tremendous job on RC, while he recovers from injury. Oliver Sperry'29 lead our shore crew/breakdown repairs and proved to be invaluable. Thanks again to Walter Henry for serving as ICSA rep.
Thanks to our visiting and out of Conference teams for making the trip. We look forward to having you back! Good luck to all the rest of the spring.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
