Day one of J70 Invite #3 started with a wonky NNE breeze which promptly died, shifted east briefly and then became a very strong SE wind. Five races were sailed in the 12-25 knot Southeasterly, 4 of which had kites up. Brown and Maine Maritime were trading bullets at the front of the pack, and lead in 1st and 2nd with a 10 point gap on the 3rd place Michigan.
Day 2 of J70 invite 3 saw a 4-12 knot SW breeze and a mostly slack tide on the Thames. Brown and Maine Maritime continued their great sailing from Day 1, with Brown the slightly more consistent of the two teams leading them to first on the weekend. Maine Maritime finished tight on their heels, just three points back in 2nd place. The Michigan Wolverines finished with a strong 3rd place on the weekend. Congrats to all competitors!
