The Grant

Summary

Saturday, April 12:

Racing began just after 1000 in a moderate breeze from the north east, which started shifting north throughout the day. The ebb tide made for interesting starts and roundings as sailors battled the current. The wind continued to clock towards north east and velocity dropped off as race 8B finished. Four Protests were filled and will be heard Sunday morning. Sunday Report time is 0900 and racing begins immediately following protest hearings.

Sunday, April 13:

Four protests were heard to start the day. Two were disallowed and two were upheld. Racing began with race 9A following protests, in NNW breeze at 6-8 kts. The wind increased to a moderate breeze for the last set for a brisk ending to the day. One additional protest was heard and upheld.

Racing concluded with twelve races in each division. Congratulations to CNU for winning the regatta and to PSU, COL, VT, NYM, and WAC for qualifying for America.

Thank you to all teams participating and to our Washington College RC for keeping racing running smoothly.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
