Sunshine City Team Race (USF)

Summary

Saturday, March 16:

Five teams from 3 conferences raced in fantastic conditions on Tampa Bay. Three full round-robins were completed. Winds varied from SSW to WSW all day, roughly 8 to 9 knots, with a few lighter holes and a few windier gusts. Sunscreen was the order of the day as temperatures were in the mid-80's.

Dominating the field was Jacksonville University, followed by Bowdoin's women's team, USF's women's team, Miami, and Texas A&M.

Both JU and Bowdoin will be moving to Eckerd for the Sunshine City Top 4 event, while USF, Miami, and Texas A&M will stay at USF on Sunday, awaiting the arrival of UC Berkeley and USF Bulls in the Next 5 Regatta.

Many thanks to competitors, wind gods, and coaches for their assistance.
