St. Francis Invite

Summary

Saturday, March 9:

The current started off almost non existent and grew with the wind until about 13:00. SFYC was a very good host, and our sailors found the instructions at the competitor's meeting very well formatted and straight forward. After about 15:00 the wind went down but the current remained extremely strong. Often we were holding position on the down wind legs sailing against the current with such light wind. Two races for each rotation were completed with 4 rotations total ending the first day with 4 race for A, and 4 for B.

Sunday, March 10:

Since the tide began to ebb later the sailing was much more manageable. RC had to move the course out into the bay more later in the day exposing it more to the current but everything still went smoothly. B rotation ended the regatta one race short due to an on the water collision and a lack of time. Rotation A sailed races 5 through 8 while B stoped at 7. A huge thank you to SFYC for hosting this regatta!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
