Rainier Cup

Summary

Saturday, April 27:

Strong southerly breeze of 8-10 knts filled in on Saturday morning, enabling races to start just before 11:00am. The wind mostly stuck around, with small shifts requiring course resets but no major interruptions in racing. Racing was called for the day around 3:40pm.

Sunday, April 28:

Great southerly wind started off the second day, resulting in close racing. A 90 degree shift upset race 9A and the course was reset and the race re-sailed. Shifty conditions the rest of the afternoon caused need for more course resets, but 12 races were sailed in A and B each for a total of 24 for the weekend. Thanks to Eugnene Yacht Club for hosting, and to our volunteer Race Committee and PRO Rich Johnson. Thanks also to all of the teams who traveled from far and wide to race in this event, especially UST and Northwestern! Congrats to UW Huskies 1, UW Huskies 3, and WWU Vikings 1 for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, respectively.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
