Hammer Showdown

Summary

Saturday, April 20:

It was a colder day but the wind did not disappoint at Eagle Creek. Average wind was 6-10 knots with gusts reaching 14-15 knots. The conditions were extremely gusty and shifty, with large oscillations in wind directions. Since racing started later today, A fleet completed 3 rotations while B fleet only completed 2 rotations.

Sunday, April 21:

Wind was much lighter today at 2-6 knots, but conditions were extremely shifty. Racing started late today as sailors struggled to sail out of the channel leading into the reservoir due to light and shifty conditions. The first B fleet race was sailed at usual, but the course had to be shortened to a 2-legged race for the next A and B rotation. Racing concluded after 8 A fleet and 8 B fleet races. Congratulations to all winning teams, and a huge thank you to John Anderson, our amazing PRO who went out early to set courses for the sailors, Karl Guerra, our safety officer who kept watch over the sailors for the entire weekend, and lastly all our volunteers on safety, RC, and on land.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
