George Morris Trophy

Summary

Saturday, April 22:

Though overcast and slightly chilly, we had a great day of racing on the Charles. 6 races were completed in each division in an easterly ranging from 8-16 knots. Some of the stronger puffs resulted in several capsizes. One protest was heard resulting in a DSQ.

Sunday, April 23:

6 races were completed in each division in an easterly ranging from 3-12 knots on Sunday. It was a soggy day of sailing, with temperatures around 50 F and intermittent showers and downpours.

A big thank you to the Morris family for their presence and for supplying tech shirt giveaways to each competitor.

Congratulations to the University of Rhode Island for taking home this year’s George Morris Trophy!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
