Emily Wick Trophy

Summary

Saturday, April 9:

Saturday was an interesting day on the Thames! The breeze could not decide if it wanted to come out of the South or the West all day. In the morning, there was a ton of upwind current that caused multiple general recalls. By afternoon, there were 40+ degree shifts with velocity changes from 0-15 knots. Nine races were sailed in each division on primarily W4 courses with one W3. Thanks to LT Brad Brown (CGA '15) with CGA Sailor Charlotte McCarthy on the RC boat, Alden McGonagle, Mia Quinlan and Jonathan Glander on mark set and Daniel Neville working the dock. Intent is to run two 3 race sets on Sunday.

Sunday, April 10:

Sunday brought cooler temps with a shifty WNW breeze ranging from 5-14knots. The remaining six races were sailed in each division with the regatta finishing up shortly after 1:30pm. There were no protests filed and one breakdown awarded. Thanks again to PRO LT Brad Brown (CGA '15), assistant coach Sam Stokes and their team of CGA Sailors who helped all weekend.

Congratulations to the home team for winning the 2022 Emily Wick Trophy!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
