SAISA North Points #5

Summary

Saturday, April 3:

It was a gorgeous day of racing on The Cooper River right off the Battery in Downtown Charleston for SAISA North Points #5. Breeze started off around 5-7 knots out of the north for the first A Division Set and died around noon. After a brief postponement, the breeze shifted to the SW sea breeze direction and quickly built to an ideal 8-11 knots. Current was minimal throughout the day (by Charleston standards). Congratulations to CofC on a dominant day of racing & the win today, JU for the 2nd place finish, Clemson for winning the 3rd Place tie breaker over The Citadel Bulldogs, Georgia Tech rounding out 5th place (including an A Division bullet) and Citadel Big Red for competing. A big thanks to Greg Walters & Walter Prause for running support/mark boat all day. This regatta marks the first regatta held by The Citadel in over four decades and we look forward to holding many more in the future.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
