Racing got underway around 4:15 after the conclusion of the Team Race Championship. 6 races in each division were completed in an 8-15 knot WNW breeze.
A much lighter breeze out of the SE made for very tricky sailing all day. The race committee worked hard to keep courses square in the very shifty conditions. Fortunately 7 races were able to be completed before running out of time at the end of the day. Texas A&M Galveston was able to hold off a late charge by Tulane to win the Coed Championship. Both schools qualified to represent SEISA at the ICSA Coed National Championship in Newport, RI next month.
