Eight teams attended the Drexel Open on the weekend of May 5th. On both Saturday and Sunday, A fleet started racing at 10:30 AM with a light northeasterly breeze. It was a typical weekend on the Delaware with the breeze clocking 45 degrees in either direction throughout the race and tons of current, the sailors and race committee were kept on their toes. Four rotations were completed on Saturday, ending at 3:30 PM and the remainder were sailed on Sunday making for an early dismissal of 1:00 PM. No protests were filed and with the exception of a few interesting leeward mark roundings all teams sailed fairly. Congratulations to OCC for their 31 point lead and regatta win. Thank you to all who helped make this regatta a success.
