We went afloat on the first day of the 2026 Faye Bennet and began racing at around noon near the mouth of the Severn River. The wind shut off halfway through the first race, though and the fleet returned to shore after waiting a while on the water. The fleet headed back out to race in the Chesapeake Bay in a light northeasterly that shifted east and built to 8 knots. Four races were completed.
Racing began in the mouth of the Severn River in a moderate southerly. After a few races, the wind shifted southwest and became very shifty. Racing was moved to the Chesapeake Bay, but huge oscillations made race management extremely tricky. A huge thanks to Pete Fanta for on the water judging and congratulations to Gilda Dondona from Cornell for claiming the MAISA Women's Singlehanded Championship again.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.
The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
