2026 Pine Trophy

Summary

Saturday, September 12:

Day 1 of the 2026 Admiral Pine Trophy started off in a 5-8 knot Southeasterly which built to 8-12 knots and swung South through the mid afternoon before swinging back to the Southeast. Conditions were initially quite flukey before settling into a somewhat consistent oscillating breeze. Competition is tight after 10 races with great sailing throughout the fleet. The Brown Bears lead at the end of the day with a narrow lead over the Yale Bulldogs. Tied for third and nipping at 1st and 2nd's heels are the Dartmouth Big Green and the USCGA Bears 1. Many thanks to the Coast Guard Cadets who did an excellent job running race committee and markset today.

Sunday, September 13:

Day 2 of the Pine Trophy was postponed until ~1300 with breeze below the 4 knot wind minimum, with storms intermittently bringing wind from the NW and then the SE. The wind settled into 5 knot Northeasterly with the Thames providing a strong ebb. One race was attempted then abandoned after the breeze laid down to 1.5 knots. Congratulations to all competitors for great racing on Saturday and thanks for your patience waiting to attempt to sail today.

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
