Riley Cup

Summary

Saturday, September 7:

Conditions were generally light and shifty from the south with big shifts and velocity changes associated with rain showers through midday. 4 races were sailed in A division and 2 in B division, before the breeze completely shut off by 4pm.

Sunday, September 8:

The day started with a fresh NNW 10-16kts with big oscillations. By midday, the pressure started to diminish and the breeze became more unstable with larger shifts and pressure differences across the course. By 2:30 the remaining breeze shut off.

The Riley Cup again featured very competitive teams and sailors competing in what proved to be challenging light air conditions, serving as a great opening regatta for the 2024-25 College Sailing Season.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
