WWU Frosh/Soph

Summary

Saturday, November 11:

5-7 knts of breeze from the NW filled in allowing for a 11:15am start time. Shifty and puffy breeze created some challenging conditions, causing a couple of capsizes throughout the day.

Despite the shifting wind, a total of 10 races were completed with 6 A fleet races and 4 B fleet races. Rotations were slowed down by a wind shadow at the dock. The last race concluded right at sunset with de-rigging done in the dark.

Sunday, November 12:

Sunday proved mentally challenging as the wind teased with puffs off and on. After trying to get race B7 off to no avail, racing was called for the day at 1:46pm. No races were completed on Sunday.

Congratulations to UW Huskies 1, UBC Thunderbirds, and UO Ducks 1 for their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places respectively in the challenging conditions Saturday! Congratulations also to all of the sailors who competed in their first collegiate regatta this weekend.

Thank you to our volunteers: PRO Cooper Snell, race committee Zeke, Tyler, Zoe, Maya, Faith, Emma, and dockmaster Kira. Thank you also to all of the teams who made it out for the weekend, especially Arizona State for their first ever attendance at WWU Frosh/Soph!

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
