Women's ACC Round 1A

Summary

Saturday, September 30:

Racing was held in the mouth of the Severn River near the entrance to Back Creek. Wind was from the north northeast at 8-12 knots early, but shifted right and faded throughout the day. A division raced 420s and B sailed FJs. Most of the races were W4 courses with the exception of race 4B, 6A, 10A and 10B, which were W3s. Three protests were filed on the water, but 2 teams retired after finishing and the third protest was withdrawn. The fleets will switch for tomorrow.

Sunday, October 1:

Sunday started out with a 8-12 knot north northeast breeze. The wind shifted right throughout the day and became very light and volatile with considerable powerboat wake. Many races were called off due to lack of breeze or major shifts. We were able to complete race 17A, but had to call off race 17B after the 1500 cutoff time, so 16 races per division will count. Congratulations to the top 9 for advancing to the Atlantic Coast Championship Finals and to the Yale Bulldogs for the victory.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
