NEISA Match Race Championship

Summary

Saturday, October 14:

A great day of racing at the NEISA Match Race Champs. The RC from Corinthian Yacht Club ran a very efficient day, managing good racing in what was trying conditions at times. Breeze was mostly N, NW 2-8 knots for most of the day. After the round robin, the seeds were as follows: Yale, CGA, Tufts, Brown, BC, MMA, Bowdoin, MSM. Yale defeated MMA 2-0 in the quarter finals, CGA defeated Bowdoin 2-0 in the quarter finals, Tufts defeated MMA 2-0, and Brown defeated BC 2-1. Tomorrow we will finish the regatta with Yale competing against Brown and CGA against Tufts in the semi finals.

A huge thank you to our umpire crew including Chief Ump Rick Meyers, John Tagliamonte, James Pinder, David Larson, and Patrick Mulcahy and to Joe Fava with lots of support for Corinthian Yacht Club and Eastern Yacht Club.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
