All participants had arrived before 9am. The schools were all present at the Oklahoma City Boat Club on Lake Hefner. The schools present were the University of Central Oklahoma (the hosts), the University of Kansas, and the University of Oklahoma. OU and KU had one team while UCO had two. The day was a clear and sunny day with temperatures ranging between 80 to 88 degrees. There were high winds all day on Saturday with gusty south easterly wind ranging from 19 to 24 kph. The lake was very choppy.
All participant were present except for two UCO students due to severe sunburn and an injured toe. Sunday continued with clear sunny skies with temperatures ranging between 70 to 82 degrees. The wind was south westerly wind ranging 7 to 9 kph. Races finished by 12 noon. Lunch was served and awards were distributed.
