The Tom Curtis Memorial Regatta is named in memory of Tom Curtis Jr ‘68 a distinguish alum and sailor for Georgetown and a member of the Georgetown Athletics Hall of Fame.
8 races were sailed at the Curtis Regatta. The first five were held in the Washington Sailing Marina Lagoon in a NW wind of 8-15 mph. The wind was very shifty and let to multiple lead changes. After a short break the regatta was moved to Hains Point and 3 races were sailed in a Gusty WNW wind of 12-20mph.
Thanks for all the sailors from Georgetown, Old Dominion, Navy and St. Mary’s for their great sportsmanship throughout the event. Thanks to Morgan Collins and Phil Youngberg for helping to move marks.
