Stoney Burke Women's Varsity

Summary

Saturday, October 9:

Saturday at Stoney Burke saw varying wind conditions. Teams began racing in a light northerly in the morning. This shifted to a stronger westerly as the day continued. The regatta's PRO, Robin Van Villet, was able to run 6 races per division on Saturday. Everybody in the PCCSC conference was happy to get on the water after a 1.5 year hiatus and compete with each other again. For many first and second year sailors, this was the first college regatta they were able to attend. And although it was a long day, teams were still in very high spirits by the end of it.

Sunday, October 10:

Sunday began with a thirty minute postponement due to light wind conditions. However, at 11:30 the breeze began to fill and teams got right on the water. The day started with a light northwesterly which built from the west as the hours went on. By the end of the day, we had seen gusts of up to 20 knots, allowing teams to demonstrate both their light wind and heavy wind abilities. It was a great end to a tiring weekend of racing. Every team left excited to compete again at the next regatta.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
