Salt Pond Invite

Saturday, September 25:

A tough day on the Salt Pond but the first NE site to start racing on Saturday. A light NE breeze slowly moved right, a full set of 3 races each was run in both A and B divisions, and one race to begin the second set in A before the breeze said No Mas. The forecast for Sunday is excellent, looking forward to getting several rotations in before the 3:00 cutoff.

Sunday, September 26:

A beautiful day on the Salt Pond, a shifty WNW breeze at 9-18 gave the fleet a good test of boat handling and short course tactics. URI 2 took advantage of the conditions on their home waters to edge out Brown 1, but a close competition between the two throughout.

Many thanks to Camp Fuller for the loan of their docks and bathroom facilities, the URI team members for float management and rotation organization, PRO Chuck Allen for snapping off the races in a timely fashion and the always welcome addition of Alum Ally Kramer for her experienced scoring, always a treat to have her join us.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
