Jack Boehringer '52 Memorial

Summary

Saturday, September 11:

The Jack Boehringer '52 Memorial Regatta is a special event for Cornell sailors to remember not only Jack but the entire Boehringer and McConnell Families. Jack was a man of many skills, and had a passion for the sport and its corinthian values. His philanthropy was inspirational, and his family continued this legacy in his honor. We a privileged to remember Jack while racing on Cayuga Lake for this event. After a one year hiatus, it was great to get back on the water and enjoy the competition again.

Racing began promptly at 10am with a southerly breeze around 6-8kts. The winds shifted right and built to 12kts and we completed 6 of the 10 scheduled races before lunchtime. After lunch, we were back out for the final races in a lighter southerly and much more shifty. Nine of the 10 races were W4.

Cornell was dominant, winning 9 of the 10 races, with only 1 race out of the top 3. Congratulations to the Big Red for securing the win in their first competition back on the water in quite some time.

Score history

The following chart shows the relative rank of the teams as of the race indicated. Note that the races are ordered by number, then division, which may not represent the order in which the races were actually sailed.

The first place team as of a given race will always be at the top of the chart. The spacing from one team to the next shows relative gains/losses made from one race to the next. You may hover over the data points to display the total score as of that race.
